The way of the Moment

Elena stands as a beacon of artistic brilliance in the contemporary art scene, renowned for her monumental depictions of the human form that evoke both grandeur and intimacy. Her journey began with a remarkable piece, a 3 by 2 meter portrayal of the human body, which garnered international attention and was notably auctioned by the Kennedy Foundation in Rome. This work marked the beginning of an illustrious career, with her art now gracing the collections of prestigious institutions such as the Britain Museum of American Art, the Guggenheim, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), the Strozzi Gallery, and the Museum of Science in Pesaro.

Elena's first solo exhibition, held at the opulent Villa de Moll, was a government-level event that witnessed the participation of the illustrious Medici family, further cementing her reputation in the art world. Her works have been featured in numerous magazines and have been sold at esteemed auctions including Gallery Orler in Venice, Gioielli di Carta in Rome, and Nardi in Pietra Santa. Her influence spread far and wide, with exhibitions at the Foire International de Dessin in Paris in both 2010 and 2011.

A defining milestone in Elena's career was her commission to paint portraits of Pope Benedict XVI for Fabbri's precious postal stamps, commemorating the Pope's visit to Milan in 2013. Additionally, her selection for the Restoration of Madonna dei Ghirli in Lugano in 2012 was a singular honor, as only one artist is chosen annually in Switzerland for this prestigious role.

Rooted in a deep understanding of anatomy, Elena's art is enriched by her academic pursuits. She studied under the guidance of Professor Eduard Borzyak at The Body Worlds Center in Guben, Germany, and completed the Struttura Uomo course with anatomy instructor Alberto Lolli. Her commitment to this discipline is reflected in her work, which seamlessly blends anatomical precision with artistic expression.

In 2014, her talent was recognized at the Florence Academy of Art, where her painting was named outstanding. That same year, her contributions to art and human rights were acknowledged with her participation in The Exhibition for Human Rights at The Kennedy Foundation, where she uniquely combined her drawing skills with choreography.

Elena's artistic prowess extends beyond traditional mediums, as she exhibits a remarkable fluency in working with marble and clay. Her creations at the UNESCO-recognized Nicoli Studio in Carrara have been showcased at the Biennale, further showcasing her versatility and innovative spirit. Her work transcends the boundaries of form and medium, creating a harmonious dialogue between the body and the creative act.

Recognized as the best artist in Florence by the Strozzi Gallery, Elena is represented by Gallery Pananti and has collaborated with the Guggenheim Museum in her personal studio in Florence. Her painting, conceptualized on Broadway, now resides in MOMA's spaces, a testament to her boundary-defying creativity.
